Braslovce Highway plan, Slovenia

The conflict refers to the placement of the expressway that will connect isolated regions in Northern Slovenia with major road links. The positioning of the road caused disagreement with the local population because they feel there is a better route than the one currently selected. In the Braslovce mini-region this problem relates to the fact that the current route runs over the best agricultural land and through important nature conservation areas, instead of on the edge of the valley. Similar conflicts and issues are occuring almost through the entire length of the road.
